Adelaide is HOT!
Adelaide is experiencing a record breaking heatwave. We've had 6 days in a row of temps over 40C (104F). On Wed we almost topped the highest recorded temperature for Adelaide when we hit 45.7C (over 114F). The record is 46.1C on 12 Jan 1939. Read more here. We're lucky to have ducted evaporative air conditioning, but we have lost power twice so far which is not fun. And the night temperatures have been ridiculously hot (we beat Adelaide's hottest night ever with 33.9C) so the house doesn't get a chance to cool down overnight. But at least we have something to cool down with. I feel sorry for the animals and the plants. A lady put out a container of water for the birds and found this guy going for a dip instead:
