I haven't signed the contract yet, but it looks like it's going to be a continuing position as long as long as I become a Permanent Resident in 2006. I sent my letter of resignation to the hospital last night, giving them four weeks notice. My contract was going to end in January anyway so it's ending just a month sooner now.
It has only been a year since I was granted a visa to work in Australia so I think I've done pretty well. So now both Darren and I are full-time continuing employees, both in the university sector. We work across the street from each other, so we ride the bus into work together and get to meet up for lunch too. How cool is that?

Wonderful, Natalie! And it happened so soon. I hope
you love what you do in your new position. Way to go!!!
Hey, Nat. Great news about your new employ! Like I said before, whoever hires you will be getting a terrific person! Was this the same uni that interviewed you last a month or so ago??
Thanks for the update -- and for the BD card (even though I'm not counting 'em anymore!)

Congrats Nat! I hope everything continues to work out for you! :)
