the interview

I had my interview yesterday for the 12 month contract, 3 days a week at the University of Adelaide. I'm in that space now where I'm worried that I won't get it, hopeful that I will, and generally just anxious to know one way or the other! They said I won't find out until next week because they have to check references etc. It was a panel of 3 interviewing me. Of course right after I came out, I thought of a bunch of things I forgot to say or could have said better but that's to be expected I guess. Overall, I did my best so we'll just see what the outcome is. I'm trying to brace myself for the possibility that they may decide to give it someone else who has been working at the University for longer than me and has more of a career behind them. Whatever their decision, it's been good experience for me to have worked there at least for a short time. Even just the 3 or 4 months of work 2 days a week that I've done so far has added a lot to my CV. I'd just like it to be more than that. Fingers, toes, and shoelaces crossed!

Hey Nat,

Try not to fret too much . . . know that's hard. If they didn't figure out from the interview that you are a gem, well, then too bad for them! I am sure you got across what a hard and dedicated worker you are. We all know. I promise -- it'll all work out in the end!!

Take good care,

Foss

Thanks Foss! The encouragement is much appreciated. You're right too, it's just the waiting that is hard. But if not this one, I'm sure something will come along.
